Fennelly announces it has received a Gold Award for its support of local non-profits Eden Autism and PEI Kids in the Caring for Children category at the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) and COMMERCE Magazine’s 2022 Companies That Care Awards Reception held at Nanina’s in the Park on March 23.

Held annually, the Companies That Care Awards Reception pays tribute to the kindness and generosity of New Jersey’s business community. Forty-four companies, including leading manufacturers, retailers, hospitals, banks and colleges and universities, were honored at the reception, attended by more than 100 business executives. Fennelly was recognized for the enduring mark it has made on the communities it calls home since 1985 through its support of local non-profits such as Eden Autism and PEI Kids.

Based in Princeton, Eden Autism focuses on improving the lives of people with autism through a wide range of support services. Fennelly President Jerry Fennelly, SIOR, organized Eden Autism’s first 5K fundraising race over 25 years ago and the company continues to be an annual sponsor to this day.

In addition, Fennelly has also helped organize PEI Kids’ annual fundraiser and Nancy Fennelly, the Director of Finance at Fennelly, serves as a member of its Board of Trustees to support its work promoting and maintaining, through education and intervention, a safe environment for all children.

“Since Fennelly’s inception nearly 40 years ago, our company has made an impact on the New Jersey business community through our commitment towards developing genuine, lasting relationships with our clients. That being said, we couldn’t be prouder of our efforts beyond the scope of real estate to support local non-profits such as Eden Autism and PEI Kids,” said Jerry Fennelly, President of Fennelly “We are deeply honored to be presented with this Gold Award in recognition of our philanthropic efforts and look forward to continuing these meaningful contributions for years to come.”

“Giving back and helping those in need is a part of the culture for all of the companies and organizations we are honoring,” said Anthony Russo, President of CIANJ. “We are glad that we can showcase all of their good works and honor them for their commitment to service even through the last two years while dealing with the global pandemic,” Russo added.

CIANJ is a statewide business advocacy organization, representing more than 900 corporate members from every industry sector. The organization asked the business community to share stories of its philanthropy. Their stories became a special section of the March issue of COMMERCE Magazine that was also distributed digitally.

This year’s winners were selected by a blue-ribbon panel of judges which included CIANJ board members John Corcoran, President & COO, D’Alessandro, Inc., Cindy Myer, President, Ridgewood Moving Services and Peter Webster, Resident Managing Director, AON Insurance.
